Service Projects

Community involvement is a part of ASU Younglife in which students and young adults are able to participate and serve within the Phoenix community. We believe this to be a top priority for Jesus, thus making it a top priority for YLASU.

The most important one, answered Jesus, “ is this: Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.

In our efforts YLASU will target community projects that allow us to serve individuals that have been dealt difficult life circumstances, which have led them into being homeless, hungry, sick, thirsty, or abandoned. Throughout the semester we will be taking an holistic approach by partnering with Non-profit organizations in planning various events in order to make our efforts more efficient and effective.

Our desire is that worldviews are changed. People are diving into the community and are being challenged. Though we call it “serving” our hope is that we are being served as well by growing, by learning, and by building lasting relationships.

Matthew 25:31-46
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
